Hi Ben, welcome to the community.
Work in proceeding on VOS, albiet slowly. At the moment I'm doing a
rewrite of the fundamental architechture to be able to accomodate
scripting, along with a host of other new features. The hope that it
will eventually be very easy for other people to contribute by working in
a dynamic language, rather than needing a whole C++ development
environment.
It is going to be a big leap forward, but it will be a while before it is
ready. Unfortunately, a new core library will also mean major changes to
the applications, so any work going forward should be done considering
that it will either be thrown out or require major changes.
In the mean time, there is the current VOS release which can do some neat
stuff. What kind of things are you interested in?
